My front windscreen wipers wouldn't work at all this morning - previously the water has frozen in the cold but this time they didn't budge at all (they weren't frozen to the screen!) Its a 2013 Fiat 500 sport manual. I'm 6'2" 275lbs and fit in it great. Regretfully the front and rear windshield wipers do not work. Checked both fuse boxes and there all good. The trip button does not work either that is on the end of the wiper stalk. Im assuming the switch unit that has both stalks on it is bad.

Apparently, the wiper motor had 'lost' its earth connection. The RAC guy had to solder a wire to the existing earth connection on the 4-way wiper motor plug and connect it directly to the chassis. However, when I tried the wipers the next day, they worked for a couple of seconds, but then stopped and have failed to work ever since. znYyF.
