My C3 starter motor packed up ages ago and was replaced by a French Mechanic here in Sydney Australia. I'm not sure what was involved in changing it. It did cost me about $600 however. C3 Automatic.

Onthe 1.6 HDi the hole in the flywheel is only for locking the flywheel to loosen the crank pulley bolt, it is not a timing hole. There is a timing alignment hole on the pickup ring for the crank sensor, you wont see the timing hole till you remove the crank pulley. A small drill bit should work fine. tmead. Donor 2023.
