The RF 24-105 f/4L is also very capable, but if you're not shooting faster than f/4, the 28-70 f/2L, goes to waste. Side note, I'm a former EF 24-105 f/4L (first gen) owner.

Canon 24-105/4L isn't a particularly sharp lens, especially on telephoto end. By sharpness, it's comparable to Sony 24-240 in respective focal range. Has full-time manual focus. Canon RF 24-105mm f/4-7.1 IS STM. Canon RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM. With full-time manual focus, you can move the focus ring whilst it is in AF (autofocus) mode. This means that you can make manual adjustments once the AF has finished, without changing to manual mode. The RF 24-105 f/4 IS and EF 24-70 f/4 IS are on 2 different cameras, but it looks like the EF 24-70 f/4 really only has an advantage at 24mm in the center. I'd say the RF wins slightly at 35mm and wins overall at 50 and 70mm. So I would suggest going with the RF.
