I have had the General Warning alert when an oil temp sensor failed and was telling the ECU that oil temp was over 150C when it was in normal range. The message under the General Warning is the point where the (supposed) fault is: Oil temp, damping failure etc. I have a 2016 BMW R1200 RS, a '17 KTM Super Duke R, and a '19 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT. All three bikes have one and they all work great, both up and down (the Yamaha is up only) As mentioned above, they work best when riding briskly, and are more clunky when riding leisurely. All three of mine are like that. The auto blip on downshift is super cool.}
